Here is how I think the conference rank.

So it's time to get rid of the term "this year's Boise State."
The fact of the matter is Boise State, and teams a lot like the Broncos, are going to be good every year.
Every single season there is a non-BCS team that deserves to be in the discussion as far as the best teams in the country.
From Utah of last year and 2005, Boise State of 2007 as well as other teams that haven't received the notoriety they deserve, these teams have proven they can play with just about anyone.
This year will have some interesting story lines from conferences such as the WAC and Mountain West.
Let's take a look...

In our final installment of the previews of the BCS conference, we move on to the Big East.
The Big East isn't great, but it's not the worst conference (that distinction belongs to the ACC).
The Big East probably sits squarely behind the Big Ten as the fifth best conference, but at least there are some teams who are interesting and who are worth rooting for.
West Virginia has had a stranglehold on this conference for years, but with Pat White, the face of the conference, gone it's time to get to know some of the new faces.
It also means that the bid to a BCS game is wide open, much like it was last year when Cincinnati dethroned the Mountaineers.
Without further babbling, let's look at the conference rundown.

By default, the ACC will be represented in a BCS bowl which is too bad.
With that said, we will focus on what is probably the most boring, and possibly the worst of the six BCS conferences.
There just isn't a lot to get excited about in this conference, especially on the Atlantic side. The Coastal side has a couple of good teams who are relevant nationally, but outside of that there isn't much.
Let's take a look...
ATLANTIC
1. Florida State
By default I'll go with the 'Noles. It's not that I like them, and it's not that Christian Ponder excites me. It's just that there is nobody else on this side of the conference.

The Pac-10 is starting to close the gap a little bit, but the Southeastern Conference is still the best college football conference in the country.
The SEC has five teams ranked in the top 25 in our pre-season poll, including the No. 1 team, the No. 5 team and the No. 8 team.
The conference also has two teams who received votes in our poll, meaning seven of the 12 teams were considered for our rankings.
Let's take a look at the conference.

The latest installment of our conference previews will be the Big Ten. One of our favorite conferences to watch on ESPN2 at 9:00 in the morning. Also one of our favorite conferences to make fun of because of its mediocrity and it's lack of excitement.
There will be two very good teams, and then everybody else. Here's what we think...

Time to take a look at the Big 12, where we
have three of the top teams in the country in the South, while the North hardly
has anyone to consider for the top 25.
Let's take an in depth look.
NORTH
1. Kansas
The Jayhawks return a whole lot of offensive firepower with Todd Reesing back at quarterback and his two favorite targets in Kerry Meier and Dezmon Briscoe also returning. The problem certainly won't be with the offense, but with the defense. Still, it should be enough to win the Big 12 North and reach the conference championship game. This team should be 5-0 heading into Boulder on Oct. 17 and could be 6-0 by the time they play Oklahoma at home.

The 2009 College Football Season is going to be dominated by three quarterbacks.
Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy are the best players in the game, but this year's running back crop is very, very deep.
We're gonna take a look at the top ten running back's this season and discuss those that just missed the cut.
This list isn't just based on talent, but also productivity. There are certain guys that will be splitting carries that will likely not be in the top ten.
As much as I like the duo from Oklahoma and as talented as the guys who carry the ball for Florida are, they won't get enough carries to put up the big stats.
Some of those guys will be drafted very high in the NFL draft when their time comes, but that is not what is being discussed.
Instead of babbling on, it's time to get to this list.
We're going to start with a guy who plays just up the road from me.

We'll start with the Pac-10, since this is our backyard.
