Bowl Picks: Part III
Matt and I have never disagreed more...
Humanitarian Bowl - Bowling Green v Idaho
Bowling Green and QB Tyler Sheehan have been dominating MAC defenses all year and you don't even know about it, unless your idea of fun on a Tuesday night is watching Bowling Green v Buffalo. Watch for WR Freddie Barnes who is Sheehan's number one target by a mile. Idaho gets the home advantage, but WAC teams have not impressed. The high powered Bowling Green offense will be enough.

Holiday Bowl - No. 20 Arizona v No. 22 Nebraska
We know all about Nebraska's horrible offense and outstanding defense which will most likely result in a low scoring, but competitive game. However, Arizona's offense is not that bad, statistically. They rank 40th in the nation with a very balanced passing and running attack. Everything about this Arizona team is balanced from its backfield which splits carries between Keola Antolin and Nic Grigsby and its receiving corps Terrell Turner and Juron Criner who each have a little more than 40 catches. To stop Nebraska's offense all you do is stop Helu Jr, so I'm going with the balance of the Cats.

Armed Forces Bowl - Houston v Air Force
The Mountain West is having an absolutely amazing bowl season and maybe I am underrating Air Force here. They have the number one pass defense in the nation and obviously we all know about the Case Keenum & Co. passing attack at Houston. Air Force's offense is primarily a ground attack and can put up the points as well, so I'm looking for a shootout.
Matt - Air Force

Sun Bowl - Oklahoma v No. 21 Stanford
I'm picking Oklahoma solely on the lack of Andrew Luck in this game for the Cardinal. I think they are the better team and can move the ball against anyone with Luck in the QB spot. With Oklahoma you know what you are getting. An incredibly talented team missing their vitally important QB who without him has looked spotty with one good game against a top team, Oklahoma St. If Landry Jones can stay consistent I think they should be able to beat the Luck-less Cardinal.
Matt - Stanford

Texas Bowl - Navy v Missouri
The academies aren't bad picks in bowl season because they usually run the option which opposing defenses usually haven't seen much, if at all. Of course, it could be a disadvantage because said opposing team has weeks to prepare for the option. But are they? Or is Missouri just partying it up in Houston and not giving a damn? Oh, Houston.

Insight Bowl - Minnesota v Iowa St.
What you need to know about Iowa State is they dominate on the ground with RB Alexander Robinson who has more than 1000 yards on the season. Minnesota is all about interception-prone Adam Weber to the outstanding, but injured Erik Decker. The absence of Decker has just made Minnesota even worse. Neither of these teams really deserve to play in a bowl game.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl - No. 11 Virginia Tech v Tennessee
Neither of us respect Virginia Tech at all, but at the end of the day they manage to get the job done. That win over Nebraska is a microcosm of their season. This pick could easily blow up in our faces if Tennessee looks at all like they did earlier in the season. We know what we are getting from Virginia Tech and if Crompton plays well Tennessee should beat them. If not, they don't. Tennessee is the riskier pick, but I can't respect myself if I pick the Hokies.

I'm curious what Content management system your internet site is built on? It seems to be very good and I love all the visitor features that are available. I am sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this then again I was not sure how to speak to you - thanks.
