This isn't going to be as cool as Panda Watch like on Anchorman, but it's the closest thing we'll have and it's the best we can do.
Throughout the season we'll be adding and subtracting names  from our watch list for the Heisman Trophy and we're going to start right now.
As you can see, I am a fan of Dan LeFevour of Central Michigan, one of the countries most underrated players.
So, while Ben gets your TV Guide for Week Three, I'll get this list up and going.
Hopefully it will make for good conversation.
Enjoy...
Tim Tebow, Florida
Of course Tebow is going to be in the running, and is probably the favorite. Apparently God loves him more than anyone else in the world. So far he's thrown for 425 yards and five touchdowns, running for two more.

Colt McCoy, Texas
If Tebow is the favorite, McCoy is like 1B. He is completing around 70 percent of his passes, he'll throw for 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns and Texas is going to be very good.

Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
I'm not taking the defending champ off the list until I find out how long he is out. He could very well just miss two games, come back and go off and take the Sooners to the National Title game.

Jahvid Best, California
Best won't lead the nation in rushing yards (he'll certainly be in the top ten) but he will lead the nation in yards per carry, he'll score a lot of touchdowns in a number of ways and he is as electric as it gets. He's ran for 281 yards so far, averaging 10.4 per carry.

Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan
I am a big fan of this guy, and now that the schedule is set up for Central Michigan to win 10 or 11 games, he's gonna get some attention. He's a dual running and passing threat and has thrown for 436 so far and led the Chippewas to a win over Michigan State.

Max Hall, BYU
Hall was gonna put up big numbers anyway, and now the Oklahoma win is on his resume. Look for this guy to throw for over 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns and be in the discussion all year.

Case Keenum, Houston
This guy deserved the notoriety before the upset of Oklahoma State, but at least he's getting it now. He'll put up huge numbers in the Cougars offense, projected to throw for well over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Dez Bryant, Oklahoma State
Really the only receiver worth discussing at this point, Bryant has struggled a little early on with inconsistency and defensive schemes. Still, he'll have huge numbers by the end of the year.

Jonathan Dwyer, Georgia Tech
Not a lot of yards yet, but they will be there. Look for him to be one of the top five ground gainers when the season ends.

Daryll Clark, Penn State
He's just very consistent. Reallistically he doesn't have a great chance to be a finalist, but he's worth keeping an eye on as Penn State looks to have a chance to go undefeated.

Joe McKnight, USC
He really put his stamp on the Ohio State game in the final four minutes, and he he looks like he's asserting himself this year. He's becoming tougher, more of a north/south runner and looks like someone who could have a huge year, statistically speaking.

Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State
Too good of an athlete for me not to have him on the least. He'll have some great games that will get him mention.

Tate Forcier, Michigan
Talk about putting yourself on the map. After being solid in his first career game, this true freshman looked like a monster against Notre Dame.

Jimmy Claussen, Notre Dame
I'm only putting him on this list because he has good stats and probably will all year. I'm taking him off at the first opportunity I get.

Ralph Bolden, Purdue
I had to put the nation's leading rusher on the list for now. The longer he stays in the top spot and is on a pace for 2,000 yards, the longer he stays.

Damion Fletcher, Southern Miss
I really like this guy. He's one of my favorite college football players and I think this workhorse is going to have a lot of yards and a lot of touchdowns this season.

Taylor Potts, Texas Tech
So why does Potts get no play when he puts up the same kinda numbers as Graham Harrell against the same types of teams? He gets love on this list.

Ryan Mallett, Arkansas
After one game into his Arkansas career, Mallett is leading the nation in passing efficiency. He put up a lot of yards, and the Hogs look relevant. Here is a nice sleeper Heisman pick.

Sam Bradford and Pryor are gone off this list in a couple of weeks I am calling it. I think the same thing about Dez Bryant, but later on. Potts, Claussen and Fletcher won't have staying power but I think Forcier will.
