Why the hell would we have a picture of Virginia on here? Because Al Groh is pissing us off, that's why.
Let's break down each conference after seven weeks of action.

ACC

If nothing else, the ACC is interesting. You don't know who is going to lay an egg from week to week. This time it was Wake Forest and North Carolina State. Also, Al Groh is doing that thing again where Virginia appears to be one of the worst teams in the country, and then they find a way to win a few and stick their necks into the conference race.

I would be remiss if I didn't give some love to Georgia Tech. Good win, even though we know Virginia Tech was overrated.

Clemson 38, Wake Forest 3

Boston College 52, North Carolina State 20

Virginia 20, Maryland 9

Georgia Tech 28, Virginia Tech 23

Miami 27, Central Florida 7

BIG 12

Texas is vulnerable. That's all I need to say about the Big 12.

Texas 16, Oklahoma 13

Texas Tech 31, Nebraska 10

Colorado 34, Kansas 30

Iowa State 24, Baylor 10

Kansas State 62, Texas A&M 14

Oklahoma State 33, Missouri 17

BIG EAST

I'm starting to like the Big East a little more. Cincinnati is clearly very good, Pittsburgh isn't too far behind and then South Florida and West Virginia are top 20-30 teams. After that Rutgers and Connecticut are pretty decent. Louisville and Syracuse really drag the conference down.

Cincinnati 34, South Florida 17

Pittsburgh 24, Rutgers 17

Connecticut 38, Louisville 25

West Virginia 24, Marshall 7

BIG TEN

I said this last week: Ron Zook needs to be fired.

Iowa is for real and if the Hawkeyes win in East Lansing on Saturday, they can pretty much chalk 10-0 up heading into Columbus. That matchup loses a little luster with Ohio State losing to Purdue, but it's still the big test.

Michigan State 24, Northwestern 14

Michigan 63, Delaware St. 6

Iowa 20, Wisconsin 10

Purdue 26, Ohio State 18

Penn State 20, Minnesota 0

Indiana 27, Illinois 14

PAC-10

A lot of parody in the Pac-10. Outside of USC, I think that Cal, UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, Arizona State, Washington and Oregon State could all make an argument for being considered for a late vote in our poll.

California 45, UCLA 26

USC 34, Notre Dame 27

Arizona 43, Stanford 38

Arizona State 24, Washington 17

SEC

Florida is vulnerable. No passing game whatsoever. They won't lose, of course. It will be up to Alabama to stop them, which they will. I'm impressed with the way Alabama just wears you down and really blows you out without blowing you out. Was Auburn a fraud? Methinks so.

Georgia 34, Vanderbilt 10

Mississippi State 27, Mid Tenn St. 6

Florida 23, Arkansas 20

Mississippi 48, UAB 13

Kentucky 21, Auburn 14

Alabama 20, South Carolina 6

NOTABLE NON-BCS

TCU v. BYU this week will sort some things out. Boise State made a statement, but it wasn't a good one.

Keep your eye on Idaho. Very interesting to see how the Vandals are playing when they head to Boise on Nov. 14.

Boise State 28, Tulsa 21

Houston 44, Tulane 14

Navy 38, SMU 35

USC 34, Notre Dame 27

Central Michigan 34, Western Michigan 23

TCU 44, Colorado State 6

BYU 38, San Diego State 28

Utah 35, UNLV 15

Fresno State 41, San Jose State 21

Idaho 35, Hawaii 23
